TWO BEAUTIFUL BIRDS - on the island this morning. as i walked i mentally listed the birds i see here all the time -
bee eaters, honeyeaters - blue-faced, white plumed and spiny cheeked, treecreepers, kingfishers, crested pigeons, feral pigeons, noisy miners, butcher birds, magpies, ravens, mudlarks, welcome swallows and woodswallows, kookaburras, kites, falcons, terns, pelicans, three types of cormorant, darters, seagulls, egrets, herons, spoonbills, fairy wrens, corellas, cockatoos, ringneck parrots, yellow rosellas, rainbow lorikeets, willie wagtails, pardalotes, shrike thrushes, little friarbirds and i'm sure i've forgotten a lot.
